The chain end of the Chainwhip/Freewheel and Lockring Remover is for removing cassettes and separating freewheel cogs. The other end holds Park lockring and freewheel removers (sold separately). The tool's long handle offers ample leverage and a good grip, and the chain is attached with hardened pins for durability.
The Chainwhip is placed on a cassette cog with the handle facing forward. The handle is held to prevent the cassette from turning. This allows lockring removal with a lockring remover tool (sold separately) and an adjustable wrench (sold separately) or a second Chainwhip.
The remover end of the Chainwhip holds and turns cassette-locking and freewheel removers (sold separately).
